On October 3rd, a Texas public employee pension system was awarded an Investment Steward Certification by the Centre For Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX), which made the $2.2 billion public pension plan the first of its kind to receive that level of recognition for fiduciary excellence. Champion Capital assisted the plan in its preparation for obtaining the certificate, which was awarded for the plan’s successful demonstration of compliance with all fiduciary policy and procedural requirements of its public investments required by the certifying organization.
